Govt issues 15-day ultimatum to four construction companies

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: The government has issued a 15-day notice to four construction companies including Raman Construction to complete the contracted work on time. The Physical Infrastructure Development Office, Morang, issued a notice on Sunday instructing timely work completion.


The notice has been issued to Shrestha-Raman-Apex JV, which is constructing the Biratchowk-Ghinaghat road, and World Trade Construction Company to construct the Devigaun Siran Ledua Motor Bridge.

The office issued a 15-day notice to the construction companies and instructed them to submit to the office the updated work schedule as to why the construction work has not yet been completed.


The office is prepared to blacklist the contract along with the terms of the contract agreement, according to the Public Procurement Act, if no response is received within the said 15 days. Similarly, the office has prepared to collect the money required to complete the remaining construction work.
