KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Mahabir Pun has urged qualified candidates to apply for the post of Vice-Chancellor at Shahid Dashrath Chand Health Sciences University, after no applications were received even after two advertisements.
“Despite advertising the Vice-Chancellor position twice, no applications have come in. I call on professors and PhD holders in the health sector who wish to serve the nation to apply or contact me directly,” Minister Pun said.
HoR passes Shahid Dashrath Chand University Bill
The recommendation committee had initially issued a notice from November 2 to 16, which was later extended to November 21. Yet, no candidate applied during this period.
The Shahid Dashrath Chand Health Sciences University Act, 2081 BS, passed by the Federal Parliament, was certified by President Ramchandra Paudel on June 18.
