KATHMANDU, July 2:The much-awaited National Medical Education Bill-2075 BS is to be taken ahead through the parliamentary regular process with the main opposition's green signal to this regard.
The bill was tabled in the House by the government on Sunday and the main opposition Nepali Congress gave permission to go forward with it as the party raised no objection to the document.
The bill is meant for replacing the National Medical Education Ordinance that was issued by the government some eight months ago.
Talking with media, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, said with the main opposition's permission to proceed with the bill, it will be taken ahead through the parliament's regular process, calling on the main opposition for further support and cooperation to endorse it as soon as possible.
He described the bill as the necessity of the country, insisting on the need of passing it in time to address issues seen in the medical education and health sector. RSS
