Govt forms committee to probe police-transport workers clash

KATHMANDU, Feb 16: An inquiry committee has been formed under the leadership of DIG Masaud Alam Khan of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, to investigate the clash between the police and transport workers at Machhapokhari in Balaju.

The transport workers torched two vehicles of Nepal Police during their protests on Monday in the Gongabu Bus Park, Machhapokhari and Balaju areas of Kathmandu.


Similarly, mobile shops were looted and vandalized during the protest by the transport workers at Lotse Mall in Gongbu’s New Bus Park.
