Speaking at a tea reception jointly hosted by the Bhaktapur chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists and Bhaktapur FM on the occasion of Dashain festival, DPM Shrestha said that no agreement will be forged compromising on democracy and integrity of the nation. [break]
He further stressed that the current government´s main priority is the peace process and constitution drafting.
Minister Shrestha further added that his party is ready for carrying out the regrouping of combatants if political parties agree on the integration modality, number and rehabilitation.
Shrestha also claimed that the first draft of the new constitution will be ready within the remaining two months, if consensus on the contentious issues related to state restructuring, forms of governance and electoral system is forged.
