Govt-civil servants talks team leaves decision on cabinet

KATHMANDU, July 18: The talks between the government and the agitating employees concluded on Saturday afternoon. Both sides have agreed in principle to increased the salary of government employees. The cabinet meeting scheduled to take place on Sunday will address the demands made by the agitating government employees´ unions.



Earlier, the Nepali Congress-affiliated Nepal Government Employees´ Union boycotted the talks soon after it started. The Union alleged that the government talks team had arrived for the talks without proper homework on the issue.
