KATHMANDU, Dec 24: The government has appointed Dr Mahashram Sharma as the Chairman of the National Examination Board (NEB).
A cabinet meeting held on Friday decided to appoint Sharma to the post, according to Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.

Similarly, the government has announced a public holiday on December 25 on the occasion of Christmas day.
According to Minister Karki, who is also the government’s spokesperson, the meeting also decided to set up an Industrial and Investment Promotion Fund as per Section 5 (1) of the Industrial Enterprises Act 2020, to give approval to formulate a bill related to legislative management and transfer the land of District Assembly of Rupandehi to Rodi Rural Municipality.
Spokesperson Karki also said that the cabinet meeting decided to review the tariff rate of postal goods and EMS tariff among others.
