KATHMANDU, Sept 21: The Ministry of Youth and Sports on Friday allocated a budget of Rs 1.05 billion for the upcoming South Asian Games (SAG) to be held in Kathmandu and Pokhara in December this year.
National Sports Council (NSC) will receive an amount of Rs 550 million for the regular administration of the SAG which included 150 million for national team preparations, Rs 380 million for sports equipment purchase, Rs 10 million for ceremony organization and same amount for accommodation of the players and delegates for the prestigious games.
Likewise, Rs 400 million has been allocated for the development of infrastructure for the SAG.
