Defending champions Golden Gate won the opening match against Public Youth Campus (PYC). Sushil Gurung netted the highest 31 points for Golden Gate to thrash PYC 107-39 during the match held at the Godavari Alumni Association (GAA) Hall, Thamel.

In the second match, highest scorer Saron Shali´s 20 points helped Whitefield defeat Norbu Linka Club 60-44. Meanwhile, Xavier International hammered Royals 83-16 in another match. Saroj Shrestha contributed 26 points for the winners. In the fourth match, Unique College upset the hosts GAA 50-37. Unique´s Rajan scored the highest 15 points. Pentagon edged out Baylor Boys, Kavre, 64-47 in the last match of the day.
Golden Gate will face Revolver, Samakhushi will vie with Norbu Linka, Royals will take on Trinity and Pentagon will clash with Unique while Baylor Boys will take on GAA during Friday´s league matches that begin at 8 a.m. The five matches will be held at the GAA Hall at intervals of one hour.
