KATHMANDU, Aug. 6: Gold and silver prices surged in the domestic market on Thursday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA).
The price of fine gold rose by Rs 8,000 per tola to Rs 296,000 per tola. On Wednesday, fine gold was traded at Rs 288,000 per tola.
Gold and silver prices remain steady
Similarly, the price of silver increased by Rs 95 per tola to Rs 4,570 per tola, up from Rs 4,475 per tola on the previous trading day, FENEGOSIDA said.
According to international media reports, gold was trading at USD 4,265 per ounce in the international market, while silver stood at USD 62 per ounce.
