Gold prices continue to set records this week

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Gold prices have continued to set new records this week. The record set on Wednesday, the fourth day of the week, was surpassed again on Thursday. Analysts attribute the rise in gold prices to the impact of international conflicts.

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Gold prices have continued to set new records this week. The record set on Wednesday, the fourth day of the week, was surpassed again on Thursday. Analysts attribute the rise in gold prices to the impact of international conflicts.


In the domestic market, gold prices have consistently reached new highs. On Sunday, the first day of the week, the price of gold was Rs 152,400 per tola. By Wednesday, the price had reached a new high of Rs 153,100 per tola. On Thursday, gold prices set yet another record, reaching Rs 153,200 per tola.

On Friday, the last trading day of the week, the price of gold decreased slightly to Rs 152,900 per tola. Despite this decrease, the price remains Rs 500 higher per tola compared to the first day of the week.


This week, the price of silver in the domestic market has seen a slight decrease. On Sunday, the price was Rs 1,850 per tola, while on Friday, the last trading day of the week, it had dropped to Rs 1,820 per tola.
