Gold price rises to Rs 103,000 per tola

KATHMANDU, March 7: The price of gold reached Rs 103,000 per tola in the domestic market on Monday.


According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold increased by Rs 1,100 per tola to Rs 103,000 on Monday. Earlier on Sunday, gold was traded at Rs 101,900.

Similarly, the price of standard gold has been fixed at Rs 102,500 per tola on Monday. The price of silver also rose by Rs 10 per tola. The price of silver, which was traded at Rs 1,415 on Sunday, has been fixed at Rs 1,425 per tola on Monday.


Meanwhile, the government has cut gold imports. According to the information issued by Nepal Rastra Bank on Sunday, only 10 kg of gold is to be imported by commercial banks daily. Earlier, the banks were allowed to import 20 kg of gold daily.
