Gold price rises by Rs 2,800; silver falls slightly

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold increased by Rs 2,800 per tola to Rs 319,500 per tola on Sunday. It was traded at Rs 316,700 per tola on Friday.

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: The price of gold rose significantly in the Nepali market on Sunday, the first trading day of the week, while the price of silver declined slightly.



According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold increased by Rs 2,800 per tola to Rs 319,500 per tola on Sunday. It was traded at Rs 316,700 per tola on Friday.


Meanwhile, the price of silver fell by Rs 10 per tola to Rs 4,975. Silver was priced at Rs 4,985 per tola on Friday.
