KATHMANDU, Nov 5: The price of gold, which had increased in the run-up to Tihar, decreased significantly in the domestic market on Tuesday. On the first day after the market opened following Tihar, the price of gold decreased by Rs 2,800 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Associations, the price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 168,200 per tola on Tuesday.
Gold price decreases by Rs 800 per tola
In Tihar, the price of gold reached a record high of Rs 171,000 per tola. However, the price of gold dropped by Rs 2,800 per tola on the first trading day following Tihar.
Meanwhile, the price of silver has also decreased by Rs 60. Silver is being traded at Rs 2,030 per tola, a decrease of Rs 60 from its previous price of Rs 2,090 per tola on October 31.
