Tashi Tsering who accumulated 18 points was the winner in 0-8 handicap, whereas Tashi Ghale was the runner up with 14 points. Phintso Ongdi Lama was the winner of 9-16 handicaps as he scored 23 points. RR Pandey with 22 points stood second in the category. Tashi Sherpa, who had 26 points in his kitty, was the winner and Jeong Chul Pyo with 25 points was the runner-up in 17-24 handicaps.
The winners and runners-up of the three handicap categories will represent Nepal in the Signature Club Golf Championship. The qualified players will represent Gokarna Club, which is slated in the eastern region of the tournament. The club team will play in the regional finals at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club on December 8.

The selected teams will face-off to decide the champion club from the Eastern region, who will battle it out with representatives Southern, Western and Northern regions in the all-India final to decide the champion golf club of India. According to the organizer, the final will be played at the Blue Canyon Golf Club in Phuket on December 16.
The longest drive winner was Robin Rana while the prize for straightest drive went to Kim Dong Wan. The winner of power play was Tashi Shepra with 14 points. There were altogether 85 players in the tournament.

Ang Tsering wins Spey Livet Golf
KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Ang Tsering Sherpa won the title of Spey Livet Cup Golf Tournament held at Royal Nepal Golf Course on Saturday.
Sherpa scored 35 points in the tournament played in Stable Ford ¾-handicap format. Shrihar SJB Rana was the runner-up, as he was 3 points behind Sherpa. Mithun Rai received the prize for had best gross with 23 points.
Kalpana Limbu won in the ladies´ category of the tournament as she scored 26 points. Pushpa Rai, who scored 24 points, was the runner-up in the category.

Lachhmi Prasad Gurung scored 30 points to win the title of senior category whereas Narendra Kumar Rai was runner-up with 29 points.
Shrihar scored most birdies during the tournament whereas Dorji Tsering Sherpa received the prize for the longest drive. Rabin Rana won the closest to the pin and Nicle Forst was given the best sportsmanship award.
Badminton selection for SAG begins
KATHMANDU, Nov 21: The league games of badminton began on Saturday in order to select players for participation in the 11th South Asian Games (SAG).
In the men´s category, national champion Bikash Shrestha defeated Sajan Tamrakar (21-14, 21-13), Sahadev Khadka (21-7, 21-10) and Bishnu Katwal (21-8, 21-13) at the Dasharath Stadium´s covered hall. Likewise, Ratna Tamang also won matches against Bishal Pradhan (21-15, 21-10), Bibek Shrestha (21-16, 21-7) and Sajan Tamrakar (21-9, 21-11).
Kishor Rana won two matches while competing with Bhugol Gurung (21-8, 21-16), Bishal Pradhan (21-13, 21-18) respectively but lost one to Bivek Shrestha (21-17, 12-21, 15-21) while Pankaj Chand also passed through Sahadev Khadka (21-18, 21-19) and Bishnu Latwal (18-21, 21-17, 22-20).
Indra Mahato defeated Bivek Shrestha (21-11, 21-7) but lost to Sahadev Khadka (16-21, 16-21)) and Krishna Tamrakar (11-21, 21-18, 27-29). Bishal Pradhan ousted Bhugol Gurung (19-21, 21-11, 21-16) in another match.
In the women´s section, Saradevi Tamang defeated national champion Puja Shrestha (21-7, 21-16) and Sabina Panthi (21-15, 21-17). In other matches, Sujana Shrestha defeated Punam Gurung (21-7, 21-10) and Sabina Panthi (21-13, 21-12).
Likewise, Nangsal Devi Tamang defeated Samjhana Sharma (21-6, 21-12) and Mary Thapa (21-11, 21-15). Punam Gurung beat Samjhana Sharma (21-15, 21-13).
Altogether 12 players, six men and six women, will be selected for badminton according to Badminton Association´s General Secretary Ramji Shrestha.
