KATHMANDU, Oct 16: On the second day of Dashain, devotees are worshiping Goddess Brahmacharini today.

Devotees have flocked to temples across the country since early this morning to worship Goddess Brahmacharini, the second form of Goddess Durga. It is a tradition to venerate Brahmacharini Devi as the mother of Brahma Bidya Shakti.

Scriptures mention that worshiping Brahmacharini Devi grants individuals the power to behave according to Brahman and attain the highest spiritual level, akin to Brahmacharya. Seekers seek the compassion of Goddess Brahmacharini to free themselves from the entanglement of worldly desires and draw them towards knowledge.

The Navaratri celebrations involve the ritual invocation and worship of the three forms of Goddess Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati. Mahakali represents power, Mahalakshmi symbolizes wealth, and Mahasaraswati embodies knowledge and wisdom.
