KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Global IME Bank has inaugurated its contact office at Aldershot, Hampshire, of the United Kingdom on Sunday. The Governor of Nepal Rastra bank, Chiranjibi Nepal, formally inaugurated the contact office in the UK, according to a statement issued by the bank on Monday.

The bank further said that Ambassador of Nepal to the UK, Durga Bahadur Subedi; Chandra Prasad Dhakal, chairman of the bank; and Janak Sharma Poudyal, CEO of Bank, among others were present in the opening ceremony.

"With the inauguration of our contact office in the UK, Nepalis there will be benefited from direct remittance and other banking services of the bank in Nepal," the bank added in the statement. Currently, the bank is providing banking service through 113 branch offices, 127 ATMs, 4 extension counters, 14 tax collection centers across the country, and contact offices in Sydney, Australia and New Delhi, India.
