Girl dies from electrocution in Tanahun

The incident occurred in Ghiring Rural Municipality–4, Gadyouli Tar, when 15-year-old Nirmala Kumal came into contact with a high-tension electric line while cutting grass on a tree. She was a resident of the same area.

TANAHU, June 10: A schoolgirl has died in Tanahun after being electrocuted.


The incident occurred in Ghiring Rural Municipality–4, Gadyouli Tar, when 15-year-old Nirmala Kumal came into contact with a high-tension electric line while cutting grass on a tree. She was a resident of the same area.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ashok Thapa, Kumal was a Grade 10 student at Mahendrajyoti Secondary School. She was severely injured upon contact with the high-tension line and was rushed to the GP Koirala National Respiratory Treatment Center in Belchautara. 


DSP Thapa confirmed that she died during the course of treatment.
