KATHMANDU, April 17: Nepali movie Ghampani, which was released on last Friday, has collected Rs 12 million at the box office in the last three days.
Till Sunday evening, Ghampani was able to collect Rs 12 million.
‘Ghampani’, ‘Kalo Pothi’ win Special film Award
Directed by Dipendra Lama, Ghampani collected Rs 7.1 million on the very first day capitalizing on the Nepali New Year. According to Director Dipendra Lama, the film made a transaction of Rs 3.8 million on Saturday. It made comparatively a low business of Rs 1.1 million on Sunday.
However, the business bounced back on Monday, making a better business, apparently due to the public holiday announced on the occasion of President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s India visit on Monday. The last report about the transaction is yet to arrive, said Lama.
Ghampani, a Nepali movie about inter-caste love story, is being screened in 60 move halls across the country since last Friday.
Actors Dayahang Rai, Keki Adhikari, Ankit Khadka, Silla Jirel, Paushkar Gurung, Bijaya Rai, Buddhi Tamang, Kabita Ale, Aruna Karki, Maniram Pokharel, Amogh Pokharel, Prembarsha Khadka, Samranta Thapa, among have acted in the film.
