Budget discussion in National Assembly concludes

KATHMANDU, June 9: The general discussion on the annual estimate (budget) of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2023/24 has been completed in the National Assembly.  

After the completion of general discussion on the budget, in the second meeting of the National Assembly today, Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat is scheduled to answer the questions raised during the discussion. A general discussion on the budget was held in the National Assembly on June 7, 8 and 9.  

In the meeting held on Wednesday, Finance Minister Dr Mahat proposed that 'a general discussion should be held on the annual estimate of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2023/24.’  

The government had presented the annual estimate (budget) of revenue and expenditure for the coming fiscal year at the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on 29th May.
