Geeta Shrestha second in transplantation sports in South Africa

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: Geeta Shrestha of Nepal won the second place in the 400 m run in the 19 Th transplantation sports that concluded in South Africa on Sunday.



Dr. Pukar Chandra Shrestha of the Arogya Foundation providing services in organ transplantation, said Geeta also secured fourth place in other events- 100 metres and 200 metres, among 80 countries of the world. [break]



Transplantation sports are also being held in Nepal each year on New Year´s day. Especially kidney transplanted people participate in the games under the coordination of the Foundation.



In Nepal, the number of kidney transplanted people has reached 300 so far.
