Garbage disposal at Banchare Danda resumes under police protection

KATHMANDU, August 15: The disposal of the Kathmandu Valley’s waste in Banchare Danda has resumed under police protection. Nuwakot police deployed a police team to provide security to the trucks carrying garbage from the capital to Banchare Danda.

KATHMANDU, August 15: The disposal of the Kathmandu Valley’s waste in Banchare Danda has resumed under police protection. Nuwakot police deployed a police team to provide security to the trucks carrying garbage from the capital to Banchare Danda.


According to Rupak Khadka, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Nuwakot, the local police and police personnel from the security posts of Nuwakot, Dhading have been mobilized to provide security to the garbage trucks.

According to Khadka, 200 police personnel were mobilized to remove the obstruction in the waste management. "Right now, garbage disposal is going on. Some 8-9 people gathered in the morning and put obstacles to garbage management. Now, the obstacle has been removed after the police team arrived," he said.
