‘Gangster’ Bishwokranti Singh remanded to Nakhkhu jail

KATHMANDU, July 2: Lalitpuir District Court on Friday remanded alleged gangster Bishwokranti Singh to Nakhkhu jail for further investigation.

KATHMANDU, July 2: Lalitpuir District Court on Friday remanded alleged gangster Bishwokranti Singh to Nakhkhu jail for further investigation.


Singh has been charged for his direct and indirect involvement in gang fight, extortion and drug peddling.

On April 5, 2016, a special squad deployed from Metropolitan Police Range Office, Lalipur arrested Bishwokranti Singh, a permanent resident of Hetauda Municipality-4, Makawanpur, on the charge of extortion and drug peddling and hooliganism, from Sanepa.


He has been serving jail  term since then.


Police had seized a shotgun, a 375-bore rifle, 158 bullets, brown sugar, a sea horse and loan deeds from his rented house in Sanepa.


Singh used to target real estate agents and businesspersons for extortion.
