Gandaki reports 16 more COVID-19 cases, total number climbs to 54

BENI, June 4: Gandaki Province has reported 16 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.

BENI, June 4: Gandaki Province has reported 16 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.


According to Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, spokesperson for Gandaki Province COVID-19 Prevention Program, ten people from Baglung, four from Parbat, one each from Syangja and Myagdi were diagnosed with this viral infection on Thursday morning.

Newly confirmed patients from Baglung district include two males and a female from Nisikhola Rural Municipality, four males from Badigad Rural Municipality and three other males from Galkot Municipality.


Similarly, two persons each from Bihadi and Falebas rural municipalities in Parbat district tested positive. Mangala Rural Municipality of Myagdi and Syangja’s Kaligandaki Rural Municipality also reported one case each.


“Their health condition is normal. We are soon taking them to isolation wards set up in the respective districts,” spokesperson Sharma said.


With this, the total number of confirmed cases in Gandaki Province has reached 54.
