KATHMANDU, July 24: Federation of the Woman Entrepreneurs’ Association of Nepal (FWEAN) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Oometo Partners.
The signing took place at the association’s Women Entrepreneurs Secretariat in Kathmandu. FWEAN President Shova Gyawali said the partnership aims to empower women entrepreneurs across Nepal.
“This is a significant step toward strengthening local market systems,” Gyawali said. “It will bring together women entrepreneurs from all over the country.”

Also present during the agreement were FWEAN Director Abhilasha Paudel and Oometo’s Business Development Officer Shiksha Aryal. “We expect this collaboration to support women’s empowerment,” CEO Pokharel said, “We’re excited about what lies ahead.”
Oometo Partners is Nepal’s largest direct-to-consumer (D2C) platform. It connects consumers directly with producers, manufacturers, and service providers.
Pokharel said Umeto is committed to supporting local innovation by promoting 'Made in Nepal' products in alignment with the association’s vision and goals.
He believes the partnership will help strengthen local producers and expand their reach in the national market.
Through this collaboration, women-led products will gain visibility on Umeto’s platforms, along with access to training, marketing, and digital sales tools.
Members will also receive benefits such as discounts, delivery services, and improved online visibility. The partnership aims to encourage innovation, sustainable practices, and ethical business.
Both FWEAN and Oometo Partners said they are committed to contributing to inclusive economic growth, promoting digital entrepreneurship, and expanding market access for women-led businesses.
