You have become prime minister with the support of leftist parties only. Will it be easy to govern the country with the Nepali Congress in the opposition?
I have not taken this as anything out of the ordinary. I will try my best to form a government of political understanding. Only a consensus government can accomplish the tasks of the peace process and constitution writing.
Only the left parties voted for you. Does that mean that you will try to form a government comprising only the left parties?
There is no need to polarize between left and non-left. There is no need of left polarization. There is also no need for forming a so-called democratic alliance. All the forces should unite.
Who will join your government?
We have not discussed about formation of the government. We will move ahead, agreeing on programs and policies and code of conduct, through discussions.
What will you do to remove the obstacles to the peace process and constitution writing?
There are no such obstacles. We will proceed with commitment to a democratic constitution. I will give momentum to the peace process. I will form a plan of action and move accordingly.
You have been accused in your party of being loyal to the Maoists. Does the fact that you have become prime minister with support from the Maoists prove that allegation?
There is no such allegation against me in my party. It is an allegation made by the media. It has been proved false.
