FSP, SP to jointly contest polls

KATHMANDU: Ashok Rai-led Federal Socialist Party (FSP) and Rajendra Mahato-led Sadbhavana Party (SP) have reached an agreement to jointly contest the forthcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election.



The two parties are yet to make the final announcement. But party sources said the two parties have formed a taskforce on Tuesday. [break]



“General Secretary Manish Suman will represent SP, while Rakam Chemjong represents FSP,” sources confirmed. “We are trying our best to merge FSP and SP,” said an SP leader on the condition of anonymity.
