FSFN candidate contesting polls with election symbol of NC

KHOTANG, June 20: Gajendra Rai is taking part in the race for member of Ward-8 of Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality as a common candidate of his party-Federal Socialist Forum Nepal(FSFN) and Naya Shakti Party –Nepal(NSPN). However, he is not contesting the election with the election symbol of his party-NSPN.


What is intesting is that he is contesting the local level elections with the election symbol of Nepali Congress(NC). He is wooing the voters showing the election symbol of NC.


Likewise, Kanti Shrestha and Jayanti Darji who registered their candidacies on behalf of CPN(Maoist Center) are also appealing to voters to vote for them showing the election sumbol of Nepali Congress.

Due to the electoral alliance forged, they are urging voters to vote for them showing the election symbol of another party despite belonging to  the party with its own unique election symbol.


Nepali Congress, Maoist Center, FSFN and NSPN have forged an electoral alliance in Dorpachiuri Danda located at Ward-8 of Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality of Khotang district.


According to the electoral alliance, Nepali Congress has been given Ward chairperson and one member, Maoist Center two ward memners, FSFN one member and NSPN one member.


Likewise, one candidate belonging to FSFN is contesting the election with the election symbol of Maoist Center in Ward-7 of the same municipality.


As per the agreement reached between FSFN and Maoist Center, ward chairperson and one member have been given to Maost Center while three ward members have been given to FSFN.
