KATHMANDU, May 4: A total of 4,119 employees are being mobilized for the local-level elections taking place in Kathmandu district.
The employees will be deputed in the 687 polling stations to be established for the May 14 elections in Kathmandu, according to Chief Returning Officer Pursottam Prasad Dhakal. The employees will receive a three-day training before they are sent to their respective duty stations.
Local-level elections in Kathmandu is taking place in one metropolis i.e. Kathmandu Municipal Corporation and 10 municipalities including Shankharapur, Kageswari Manohara, Gokarneswar, Budhanilakantha, Tokha, Tarkeswar, Nagarjung, Chandragiri, Kirtipur and Dakshinkali. Elections will take place for a total of 687 positions in the 11 municipalities, according to the District Election Office. RSS
