KATHMANDU, Sep 1: Taplejung Sarokar Kendra, an organization set up by the people of Taplejung living in Kathmandu, has feted four national players born in the district. All four players had represented Nepal in the 12th South Asian Games held in India last year.

Kendra honored judoka Phupu Lhamu Khatri, javelin thrower Chandrakala Lamgade, footballer Bhim Kumari Gurung and Devendra Tamang with the letter of appreciations on the occasion of its 11th anniversary.
Khatri who recently took part in Rio Olympics through wildcard had won gold in the 12th SAG while Bhim Kumari Tamag had won silver as part of the women's national football team. Devendra Tamang was a member of gold medal winning national football team. However, Chandra Kala was medal less in the South Asian Games.
