Three more patients test positive for COVID-19 in Province 2

LAHAN, April 29: Three new patients have been diagnosed with novel coronavirus disease in Province 2 on Wednesday.

LAHAN, April 29: Three new patients have been diagnosed with novel coronavirus disease in Province 2 on Wednesday. 


The swab sample tests of two males from Bara and one from Parsa conducted at Kathmandu based National Public Health Laboratory came positive, according to Ram Prasad Ghimire, secretary at Province 2 Ministry of Social Development.

They had also attended Tablighi Jamaat in New Delhi, according to sources.


Secretary Ghimire also added that a team of technicians has been mobilized from the ministry for contact tracing. “We have yet to gather their details,” he said. 


Patients are being dispatched to Birgunj-based Narayani Hospital for treatment. 


Earlier yesterday, two patients from Rautahat tested positive of this deadly virus. 


With this, the total confirmed cases in Nepal have reached 57. 16 of them have already recovered. No death has been reported yet.
