KATHMANDU, March 6: At least four people died when a passenger bus on its way to Kathmandu from Padaria in Rupandehi plunged into the Trishuli River at around 5 AM today.
The ill-fated bus met with an accident after it went out of control and fell into the Trishuli river.

According to the Superintendent of Police of the Armed Police Force Number 1 Battalion in Adamghat, Ramjung Pande, the bus (Lu 2 Kha 2121) met with the accident in Gajuri Rural Municipality-5 Ghatbesi in Dhading along the Prithvi Highway.
He said that 33 people who were onboard the bus were rescued successfully and sent to Gajuri Hospital for treatment. He also said that the identity of those who died in the accident is yet to be ascertained.
According to SP Pande, a team of 16 people under the command of a DSP from the Armed Police Force Nepal Disaster Management Security Base, Adamghat, and a team of 22 people including 6 divers under the command of an Inspector from the Disaster Management Training Center, Kurintar, have been deployed at the site of the accident for rescue operations.
