Four JSP leaders including Thakur given 24 hours to submit clarification

KATHMANDU, May 29: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has sought clarification from four of its top leaders in apparent bid to take disciplinary action against them.

KATHMANDU, May 29: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has sought clarification from four of its top leaders in  an apparent bid to take disciplinary action against them.


Office Chief of JSP's Central Office Prakash Adhikari has sent separate letters to Mahantha Thakur, Rajendra Mahato, Laxman Lal Karna and  Sarbendra Nath Shukla asking them to submit clarifications within 24 hours.

The JPS faction led by Upendra Yadav and Dr Baburam Bhattarai had earlier sought clarifications from the four leaders on May 22 after they decided to support to KP Oli-led government. The 24-hour deadline again to submit clarifications comes after they failed to submit the clarification.


The Yadav-Bhattarai-led faction, which commands majority in the party's central committee, has warned of taking action as per political party act and JSP's party statute. Party insiders said this is the prepration of Yadav-Bhattarai faction to expell four leaders from the party.
