KATHMANDU, Jan 30: At least three protestors and a policeman were injured in a clash between the police and protestors violating the indefinite curfew in Mahottarai district on Friday afternoon, according to Kathmandu-based Ujyaalo FM.

Protester Nabin Mishra sustained serious injuries and was taken to Janakpur for treatment, the radio station reported.

The curfew was imposed on Thursday evening after situation went tense due to protests against rumored attempt by government to shift district headquarters from Jaleshowor to Bardibas. The curfew was relaxed on Friday morning.

The government had clarified that there was no plan to shift the district headquarters while urging the protesters to withdraw their protests.
