The accident took place when the bus (Na 4 Kha 3345), heading for Kathmandu from Dhangadhi, collided with the parked truck (Na 4 Kha 6240), at around 5 am, police said. [break]
Three people died during treatment in Bharatpur while one 24 years old man died at Kawasoti Madhyabindu Hospital.
The deceased are Harka Bahadur Jargi, 23, of Sainasawela-9, Bajhang; Kavindra Kumar Sunar, 29, of Birgunj and Ram Prasad Bhatta, 35, of Sanfebagar, Achham, police said. The man who died at Madhyabindu Hospital is yet to be identified.
Seventeen others were injured in the accident. Some are being treated at Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur while others have returned home after treatment in Kawasoti, police said.
The accident spot lies 55 km to the west of Narayanghat in a forest area between Chormara and Arunkhola Bazar.
