Four-day journalism training begins in Bhaktapur

BHAKTAPUR, Dec 1: Four-day journalism training on 'Natural Disaster and Reconstruction' kicked off in the district today.

A total of 20 mediapersons from Bhaktapur, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Dhading, Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts have taken part in the training organised by the National Media Development Center (NMDC) in coordination with Bhaktapur chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), officials of the FNJ Bhaktapur chapter said.


Bishnu Prasad Sharma, executive director of the NMDC, said that the training dwells on helping the government to adopt strategy in case of natural disasters and providing mediapersons with ways to inform people on adopting various ways in such disasters.

Senior journalists Ram Krishna Regmi, Shreeram Singh Basnet and Badri Tiwari and disaster experts among others will impart the training, he added. RSS
