KATHMANDU, Oct 11: The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has arrested four individuals for breaking into homes during the festive season.
According to the office, four individuals were arrested on Wednesday around 2 PM for allegedly stealing from the house of Anjali Tamrakar in Pepsi Cola in Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC)-32.

Those arrested include Manish Sapkota, 28, from Meghang Rural Municipality-5 in Nuwakot, Dhanesh Lama, 27, from Panchkhal Municipality-13 in Kavrepalanchowk and Diyuk Sapkota and Shrimaya Tamang from Meghang Rural Municipality-5 in Nuwakot.
According to the police, they broke into the room of Chinese national Luo Jia Lian, 57, who was renting an apartment on the upper floor of a three-and-a-half-story concrete building owned by Tamrakar and stole Rs 1.9 million in cash along with a hard drive from a CCTV camera.
As part of the investigation into the theft, they were arrested on Thursday from various locations in the Kathmandu Valley and sent to the Banasthali police station for further investigation and action.
From their possession, the police recovered cash amounting to Rs 16,49,740, one stolen iron locker, one new NS 200 motorcycle purchased with the stolen money and six mobile phones used by the arrested individuals.
