KATHMANDU, June 5: Madhav Kumar Nepal, former Prime Minister and chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist), has been automatically suspended from his position as a Member of Parliament.
He was suspended following the corruption case filed against him.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed the corruption case on Thursday at the Special Court in Kathmandu, accusing him of irregularities in the transaction of land exceeding the permitted limit to Patanjali Yog in Karve.
A total of 94 individuals, including the former PM Nepal, have been charged in the case.
