KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Police have arrested former minister Shyam Sundar Gupta on the charge of threatening and demanding money from a woman.
SSP Pitambar Adhikari told Republica Online that Metropolitan Police Range, Jawalakhel arrested Gupta from Lalitpur on Monday.
He added that further investigation into the case was underway.
Former Minister for Commerce and Supplies and leader of Sadbhawana Party Gupta had earlier served three and half years in jail for abduction of trader Pawan Sanghai.
