Former DSP arrested on fraud charge

Kathmandu, April 5: Former Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Chetendra Panta has been arrested for his alleged involvement in making fake letter heads and stamps of different government offices.

The Metropolitan Crime Investigation Division arrested Panta, 50, after a raid in Mata Manakamana Trades, a firm run by him, on Friday.Police said that stamp of Ekantakuna-based Transport Management Office, stamps of section officer and police inspector, stamp and letter pad of Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, Ramshahpath and many other fake documents were seized from Panta's firm.

Panta has been sent to Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu for further investigations and action. RSS
