KATHMANDU, May 30: Three foreign nationals have scaled the Mt Everest, the highest peak of the world, with an aim of supporting school children who are at risk. 

They are 40-year-old Rory McHugh of Ireland, 25-year-old Jonathan Gudi and 35-year old Black Pension of Australia. They had scaled the peak on May 26. The Child Rescue Nepal is taking initiation in this regard. 

In a press meet, the team captain McHugh shared that over 4.1 million has been collected as foreign aid so far for their mission and is planned to hand over to the organization. He added that they have a plan of collecting more support as they were receiving contributions. The target is to collect Rs 7.5 million within a month. 

According to Child Rescue Nepal country director Jamuna Shrestha Bhattarai, the organization is supporting the children for their child rights and mitigating risk for past 18 years. 

The organization has supported 28 children in Lalitpur and Makawanpur by setting up child care centres. RSS
