KATHMANDU, Oct 19: Foreign Minister NP Saud is scheduled to visit the United States. Preparations for this visit are currently underway following his meeting with the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, during Guterres' visit to Nepal starting on October 29.

UN Secretary-General Guterres, who is presently participating in the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing, is expected to arrive in Nepal on October 29. The Secretariat of Foreign Minister Saud has indicated that his visit to the United States will be planned following his meeting with UN Secretary-General Guterres on October 29.

Previously, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was initially scheduled to visit Nepal on October 13, but this program was postponed due to the conflict between the Palestinian militant group Hamas and Israel. His rescheduled visit to Nepal is taking place at the invitation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and is expected to last for four days.

During his visit, UN Secretary-General Guterres is likely to discuss the issues raised by Prime Minister Dahal at the UN General Assembly.
