The irate journalists on Wednesday padlocked the office of FNJ, Kaski saying that the posts of office-bearers of FNJ were divided to journalists close to three main political parties on the basis of political loyalty.
A group of journalists headed by former Chairperson of FNJ, Kaski Krishna Prasad Bastola padlocked the newsy-constructed building of FNJ in Mustangchowk.
They also chanted slogans to voice their protest after padlocking office.
Pokhara-based journalist Nabin Sigdel has already announced to sit for fast-unto-death demanded that the convention be called as per the statute and such decision to pick leadership be scrapped at the earliest.
Around 35 active journalists put forward their demands to immediately dissolve the leadership selected on own likings and make a new working committee through election.
It was agreed to make Badri Binod Prateek of Press Chautari the chair of new working committee. Similarly, the posts of vice-chairperson and treasurers were allotted to Press Union and secretary and joint secretary to Revolutionary Journalists Association.
