FNJ condemns threat to FNJ Pyuthan chair

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: The Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) has said its attention has been drawn towards the news of threat to take life issued to chairman of its Pyuthan Chapter and editor of ‘Hamro Ekata’ weekly, Sushil Pokhrel by locals Balaju Shrestha and Resham KC.



The FNJ in a press communiqué said that the threat was issued to him on the news published in the weekly on plotting of land besides abusing him and threatening to break limbs, and burning his newspapers. [break]



The FNJ said such a threat is interference on the freedom of press and expression, and condemned it in strongest words saying one should seek legal solution if there is anything to complain about.
