KATHMANDU, Dec 24: The Federation of Nepali Journalists issued a press statement to condemn Nepal Police’s request to online news portals to identify news sources which published details of forged documents of former DIG Nawaraj Silwal. 

Five media houses were asked to clarify and provide the source of news disseminated through their media on the issue related to newly elected parliamentary member and former DIG of Police, Nawaraj Silwal. The police have also reportedly directed tracking a year's call history and details of mobile phones belonging to the editors.
