FNCCI for strong biz ties with India

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: A bilateral meeting between officials of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Sunday underscored the need to strengthen economic ties between Nepal and India.



They also said the government and private sector in both the countries should create environment conducive to promote industries and also attract joint investment.[break]



The meeting called on the need to identify new investment areas like IT, BPO, environmental change, infrastructure, energy and health.



On the occasion, CII delegates invited FNCCI to participate in the Partnership Summit-2011 which is being held in January, 2011, in Jaipur.



Prior to the meeting, FNCCI President Kush Kumar Joshi assured the Indian delegates that Nepal will soon have investment friendly climate.



He also requested India to invest in hydropower, tourism, agriculture, education, health and infrastructure development sectors.
