FNCCI veep urges int'l biz community to invest in Nepal

KATHMANDU, June 4: Chandra Prasad Dhakal, vice president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has urged foreign investors to invest in Nepal, stating that favorable business environment has been created in the country with for formation of a stable government.

KATHMANDU, June 10: Chandra Prasad Dhakal, vice president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has urged foreign investors to invest in Nepal, stating that favorable business environment has been created in the country with for formation of a stable government.

Addressing 107th International Labor Conference (ILC) in Geneva, Switzerland, on Friday, Dhakal, who is also the chairman of the federation's Employers' Council, urged international business community to invest in Nepal's potential areas such as tourism, agriculture, infrastructure development, mining and cement, information technology, hydropower, manufacturing as well as services sectors.


Dhakal also stressed the need for ILO's technical assistance in capacity building of the enterprises and in providing skill training to Nepali youth to meet the labor demand of the market.
