The flooding Seuti River in Sunsari is rapidly eroding land around the Dharan-Hansposa road section along the Koshi Highway, while the District Administration Office (DAO) and the District Administration Office, Sunsari has prohibited movement along the road from Wednesday.

“The bridge is in a sorry state and it may even collapse anytime. So, we prohibited vehicular movement by developing an alternative route,” said Chief District Officer Laxman Kumar Thapa.

The vehicles commuting Dharan-Itahari section move through a graveled road inside the Charkose forest in Panchkanya VDC. Security personnel have been mobilized in order to stop movement of vehicles over the bridge, said district police Chief Ganesh Thapa.
