Flights on hold at TIA as runway crumbles

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the only international airport in the country, has temporarily halted its service after a collapse of a section of runway on Sunday.



Following the incident, all the incoming and outgoing flights at TIA have been suspended from 1.30 to 3.15 pm today.



According to AOC, the three aircrafts of Air India, Air Arabia and Jet Airways, who were set to land at TIA, has been asked to put on hold their flights.
