According to the Airport Security Post Lukla, airlines companies have started making flights to and from the airport.[break]
Around 300 foreign tourists and other passengers who were left stranded here following the flight disruption could be dispatched to Kathmandu by today, said the airlines companies.
Stranded passengers have expressed happiness on the resumption of flights. There was a shortage of mutton, green vegetables, eggs and bread in the tourist area of Lukla due to disruption of air services.
However, weather of Phaplu airport in the district has not improved yet. Flights scheduled for today have been cancelled as weather here did not see any improvement, said Nepal Airlines Corporation Sales Manager Ganesh Shrestha.
